All About Bone Cancer Symptoms

When a cancer develops first in the bone, the tumor that results is called an initial bone cancer. There is a possibility for a cancer found elsewhere in the body to become the source of the tumor and then, a cancer can be spread to bone. This is a second bone cancer. The majority of bone cancers are found in bones of the arms and the legs.

With bone cancer, the initial symptoms might not cause the sensation of constant discomfort. At first, it is possible to feel discomfort during the night, when you are sleeping or during a long period of activity.

It can take some time to see the tumor grow and then the pain begins to become more frequent and, in some cases, regular. If you’re unsure about some symptoms then you can consult a bone cancer expert.

The patient may not need the pain addressed for months or even weeks in some cases, and even be for years without awareness of the reason for the pain as the result of the first signs from bone cancer. When a tumor develops in the skeletal system the other symptoms could be the loss of weight or feelings of low energy.

Bone cancer can weaken the body in general as well as in particular ways. Fatigue is a topic that has been covered before but breaking bone can occur due to even a minor accident or fall. The tumor can weaken the bone and therefore a break could occur, often due to something as simple as standing. Most often bone fractures happen more in the lower body than the upper part of the patient.

Other signs are nausea, general discontent vomiting, pain and nausea within the abdominal area. They occur when calcium salt that is derived from the tumor escapes the bone and enters the blood.
